* Definition of a "Full-Time Equivalent Timekeeper"
A timekeeper is anyone who bills time. Unless an administrative staff person bills time, that individual should not be included in your "full-time equivalency" timekeeper count.
To determine "full-time equivalency", estimate how much time is spent prosecuting patents and trademarks as opposed to other IP work. For example, an attorney who litigates 50% of the time and prosecutes the other 50% would count as as 50 percent of a timekeeper for purposes of your timekeeper count. |
What’s included in the annual rate?
Everything** you’ll need to get IPDAS up and running, and to keep it running, including:
- Integration with your docketing and document management systems
- Training
- Ongoing product and technical support
- Regular PTO/PCT updates
- Product enhancements
** Client is responsible for necessary travel expenses, but not labor costs, associated with installation and training.
Renewals
The IPDAS license may be renewed for subsequent three-year terms. The annual rate would be the lesser of the prevailing rate or no more than a 25% increase over the third-year rate in the previous three-year license agreement.
We will "true-up" your timekeeper count once a year just prior to the annual invoice.
