Technical Requirements

Below are the minimum technical requirements necessary to support IPDAS in your organization.

Supported Server Operating Systems

►Windows 2008

►Windows 2003

►Windows 2000

►Windows NT

►We can support both 32-bit and 64-bit server operating systems

SQL Server Requirements

Supported SQL Server versions:

►SQL Server 2008

►SQL Server 2005

►SQL Server 2000

►For a large firm of approximately 100 attorneys, the server should have at least a modern single processor with a minimum of 4 GB of RAM. IPDAS performance is more sensitive to RAM levels in the SQL Server than to processor speed, although both can help.

►The IPDAS database is likely to occupy at least 1 GB of disk space (excluding back-ups) for a large firm.

User Workstation Requirements

Supported client operating systems:

►Windows 7

►Windows Vista

►Windows XP

►Windows 2000

►Windows 98: While IPDAS probably still runs, we no longer test in this environment

►Currently, we support only 32-bit client operating systems but we plan on supporting 64-bit client operating systems in the near future

Supported Microsoft Word versions:

►MS Word 2007

If you are running Vista and MS Word 2007, the hardware requirements are higher.  Please contact us for details.

►MS Word XP

►MS Word 2003

►MS Word 2000

►MS Word 97: While IPDAS probably still runs, we no longer test in this environment

Supported browsers:

►Internet Explorer (versions 6-8)

►We recommend that user workstations not running Windows Vista have 1 GB of RAM, although some of our customers are running successfully on machines with 512 of RAM.
